Acne
Acne is one of the most common skin conditions and can occur at any age, not just in the teenage years.
Do you recognise this?
- Blemishes that keep coming back
- Uneven tone or texture, especially in daylight
- Skin that feels dull or tight
- Products that make little difference
- You would rather cover it with make-up
Do you recognise several points? That says nothing yet about what is needed — we assess that together during a consultation.
What is it and what causes it?
Acne develops when sebaceous glands become overactive and clog the skin's pores. The combination of excess sebum, dead skin cells and bacteria leads to inflammation manifesting as blackheads, pimples and, in more severe cases, cysts. Hormonal fluctuations, stress and diet can worsen symptoms.
Untreated acne often leaves scars and pigmentation spots that remain visible even after the acne clears. Early, targeted treatment prevents permanent skin damage and significantly improves self-confidence.

Directions, not a prescription. Which one suits you — or whether treatment is needed now — we decide together.
advice from the specialist
“Beautiful skin is not a treatment but a build-up. We start by understanding what your skin needs.”
