Acne scars

Acne scars are a lasting consequence of severe or prolonged acne and can significantly affect skin texture and self-confidence.

Do you recognise this?

  • Blemishes that keep coming back
  • Uneven tone or texture, especially in daylight
  • Skin that feels dull or tight
  • Products that make little difference
  • You would rather cover it with make-up

Do you recognise several points? That says nothing yet about what is needed — we assess that together during a consultation.

What is it and what causes it?

When acne becomes deeply inflamed, it damages the underlying structures of the skin. During healing, the skin may produce too little or too much collagen, leading to depressed (atrophic) or raised (hypertrophic) scars.

Acne scars do not disappear on their own. Their depth, age and your skin type determine which treatment strategy is most effective. Early intervention usually yields the best results.

advice from the specialist

“Beautiful skin is not a treatment but a build-up. We start by understanding what your skin needs.”
