Volume loss
A large part of the fat in our face diminishes over the years. Volume loss in the cheekbones, cheeks or lips can create a tired or stern appearance.
Do you recognise this?
- Lines or shadows that stay visible even at rest
- A tired or stern look that does not match how you feel
- Less definition around the jawline, cheeks or eyes
- Make-up settling into fine lines
- You recognise yourself less in photos
Do you recognise several points? That says nothing yet about what is needed — we assess that together during a consultation.
What is it and what causes it?
Beneath the skin lie cushion-like pads that protect the muscles and bones of the face and thereby also provide volume and contour. As we age, these diminish. In certain areas of the face, such as the cheekbones, cheeks and lips, volume decreases — resulting in a less youthful and sometimes stern or tired appearance.
By restoring volume in strategic places, the face regains a younger, fresher and less tired appearance — always with a natural result.
Possible treatment directions
Directions, not a prescription. Which one suits you — or whether treatment is needed now — we decide together.
advice from the specialist
“With the face I never look at a single line, but at the proportions as a whole. That is where a natural result begins.”
