Skin ageing
Skin aging is a natural process, but UV radiation, lifestyle and genetics largely determine how quickly wrinkles, laxity and volume loss become visible.
Do you recognise this?
- Blemishes that keep coming back
- Uneven tone or texture, especially in daylight
- Skin that feels dull or tight
- Products that make little difference
- You would rather cover it with make-up
Do you recognise several points? That says nothing yet about what is needed — we assess that together during a consultation.
What is it and what causes it?
From the age of thirty, collagen production decreases by about one percent per year. The skin loses elasticity, becomes thinner and drier, and wrinkles deepen. Sun damage accelerates this process by directly damaging collagen and distributing melanin unevenly.
Skin aging follows two tracks: intrinsic aging (genetic and inevitable) and extrinsic aging (caused by environmental factors such as sun, smoking and pollution). Extrinsic aging can largely be influenced through prevention and treatment.
Possible treatment directions
Directions, not a prescription. Which one suits you — or whether treatment is needed now — we decide together.
advice from the specialist
“Beautiful skin is not a treatment but a build-up. We start by understanding what your skin needs.”
