Unwanted hair growth
Unwanted hair growth on the face or body can be experienced as bothersome. Permanent hair removal offers a long-lasting solution.
Do you recognise this?
- The complaint affects what you wear or do
- You have already tried a lot yourself, without lasting effect
- It has been going on for more than six months
- You would rather not talk about it, but it does bother you
Do you recognise several points? That says nothing yet about what is needed — we assess that together during a consultation.
What is it and what causes it?
Excess hair growth can occur due to genetic predisposition, hormonal factors or as a side effect of certain medications. Temporary methods such as shaving, epilating and waxing provide results, but require constant repetition and can lead to ingrown hairs and skin irritation.
Permanent light-based hair removal targets the melanin in the hair follicle and disables it permanently. Because not all hairs are in the active growth phase at the same time, several sessions are needed for a lasting result.

advice from the specialist
“These complaints often go unspoken for too long. There is almost always more possible than people think.”
